About

Hello and welcome to Days in Wonderland! I’m Izzy, a wordsmith, visual storyteller and music geek. I love going to concerts, exploring the music scene especially when I travel, finding offbeat and unique places as well as documenting these experiences.

My first blog was on Xanga where I wrote about my concert experiences. It started out as personal entries and in list form because I wanted to be able to remember each concert I went to. Back then, all I had was a point and shoot camera, so my souvenirs would be my concert ticket, grainy photos, and the memories of an awesome show.

I also have been working on a young adult novel called “The Fortunate Only” about a frustrated musician who must learn to believe in himself when he’s recruited into an underground indie music community. So…yeah, you can tell I’m a massive music lover.

So what exactly is Days in Wonderland about?

Days in Wonderland is a travel website for the music lover.

As a music lover, you experience the world differently: through unforgettable moments that involve your favorite bands, discovering your next favorite song or exploring the music scene whether locally or internationally.

My aim is not to critique live shows or music, rather to help you explore the world as a music lover by giving you practical and valuable guides and tips. I write gig venue guides, feature offbeat and quirky places, travel guides for the music lover and interview indie artists.

Though I am currently based in Manila, I do write about the international destinations I’ve been to.
