Discover new music May 2018
Hey there, music lover!
We’re back for another installment of top music picks for the month! It’s crazy how fast this year is going, isn’t it? It’s already June, and somehow I feel like I haven’t accomplished much. Do you ever feel that way?
Half Heart – Jimmy Eat World
The first few seconds of this song takes me back to Jimmy Eat World’s “Hear You Me” days. I’m thirteen again. Music and writing is my escape. This nostalgia is what I love about the song.
Seyda Neen (Acoustic) – Tom’s Story
Tom’s Story is one of my favourite bands. Instrumental rock was a genre I never thought I’d love, but since discovering Tom’s Story a couple of years back, sparked my appreciation for this genre. This particular song is an acoustic rendition and I’ve got a soft spot for acoustic versions of songs.
Wasted on Each Other – James Bay
This wouldn’t be a top music picks list without a LANY or James Bay song, now would it? James Bay’s been releasing new music since the beginning of the year, and finally this May, his second album Electric Light was released. Looking back, two years ago in May, I bought myself a birthday present, which was James Bay’s debut record in Amoeba Music in Los Angeles.
Those are my top music picks for the month of May. What were your favourite songs in May? Let me know in the comments below!
