There are so many gigs happening every week, and it can be daunting to look for them online. You might have applied the tips in from the How to Find Out About Gigs post and followed loads of bands, concert producers, and even concert venues, but you feel overwhelmed with all the accounts to check. To help you with that feeling of overwhelm, I’ve narrowed the list to three accounts. These three accounts post about gigs on a weekly basis, so at least you go from checking multiple accounts to those on this list.  If you have any questions about gigs or the music scene, do let me know in the comments below and I’ll try my best to answer them.

Here are accounts to follow to find out about Philippine gigs:

Bandwagon Philippines

Bandwagon is an online platform that posts about the Southeast Asian music scene. Aside from concert announcements, they also have concert reviews, features and interviews. Its local arm–Bandwagon Philippines–is up-to-date with the concerts and gigs in the country. Follow their pages to stay in the loop especially when they post breaking news on concert announcements. Their website also features a gig schedule calendar where you can see a list of upcoming concerts. If you also subscribe to their mailing list, they e-mail you a weekly gig schedule.

Philippine Concerts is a website that posts about concerts and musicals happening in the Philippines. You can find local and foreign concerts, music festivals as well as musicals on the website. There are also concert reviews, interviews and features. They always update their social media pages, especially during live coverages.

Support Your Local Indie Scene

Support Your Local Indie Scene has a comprehensive event and gig list on their pages. When you check their account, you’ll see which events and gigs are happening on the current date. For example, if you check their account today, you’ll see which events and gigs are happening today. It’s best to check their account daily.

If you follow these accounts, there’s no need for you to go to each and every individual page of your favorite bands (unless you’d like to!). To recap, the accounts that you should follow to find Philippine gigs are Bandwagon Philippines, Philippine Concerts and Support Your Local Indie Scene.

If you need help navigating the Philippine indie music scene, grab a copy of the Beginner’s Guide to the Philippine Indie Music Scene e-book. It lists down the bands you should know, other ways to find gigs, as well as tips for when you explore the indie music scene. You can get a FREE preview of the e-book below:
