In this week’s gig venue guide series is B-Side at The Collective in Makati. This guide is meant to give you helpful, practical tips to make the most out of your gig experience.

B-Side at The Collective has been around for almost 8 years. It began when two of its founders returned from Shanghai and were looking for a new spot to hang-out in. They decided to open a bar, but wanted it to be unique. Before the area became “The Collective”, it was known for car parts.

What Makes it Different

Though there is an indoor area, gigs are also held outdoor–in what looks like an open rooftop warehouse.
150 people can fit indoor while the outdoor area can hold about 1,000.
Every Sunday night, B-side hosts a free event called Irie Sunday for people who love Roots, Dub, Reggae, Dancehall and Ska.

Gig Fee

The entrance fee ranges from Php100-300 depending on the show. Irie Sunday is free.

Gig Calendar

The best way to find out about their latest gig schedule is through their official page.

Gig Eats

The price for food and drinks range from Php20 to Php300. I’m told that their BBQ is a must-try.

The only parking available is along the street, so to get a good spot you have to go early.

B-Side at The Collective is located at 7274 Malugay Street, Makati City. For directions, use Waze.
